    I am hiking from Government Camp OR to Northern Terminus departing June 30. Can you tell me about layering for this section in July? I planned on running shorts, capilene ultralight long sleeve pullover and cap. I have a rain shell, rain pant, knit cap, and voormi lightweight wool blend hoodie in the bag. Planned on leaving puff jacket home. Can I do without some of this stuff in Northern Cascades July?

    • Hey Mike, Sometimes we miss things. I hope your trip went well. We had one very cold and rainy day in Washington in July. We were glad to have shoulder season gear like a puffy.
